About
Many neurodivergent professionals have been handed maps.
Maps shaped by diagnostic labels, professional norms, rigid expectations, and narrow ideas of what it means to be competent, successful, or “professional”.
But a map assumes there is one correct route.
A compass offers something different.
The Compass: Self-Discovery & Identity is a live online webinar for neurodivergent professionals who are tired of over-adapting, questioning their fit, or trying to sustain themselves in systems that often ask them to override who they are.
In this reflective and practical session, Caitlin Hughes will guide you through the Compass as a neuroaffirming framework for identity, self-understanding, and professional alignment. Together, we will explore how your values, strengths, needs, boundaries, and sense of meaning can become orientation points — not rules to perform, but signals that help you navigate work and life with more self-trust.
This is not a webinar about fixing yourself so you can fit more neatly into rigid systems.
It is an invitation to step back from pressure, masking, and self-pathologising, and begin asking a different question:
What would it feel like to navigate from alignment instead of survival?
What We’ll Explore Together
In this webinar, we’ll explore:
Why a compass, not a map
A more flexible and compassionate way to navigate identity, capacity, safety, values, and purpose when life and work are constantly shifting.
The 5 Coordinates of the Compass
True North, Terrain, Magnetic Pull, Edges, and Horizon — a practical framework for reconnecting with values, needs, strengths, boundaries, and meaning.
What happens when we lose orientation
How pressure, performance, masking, overriding needs, and saying yes before checking capacity can become default survival strategies.
Small practices for everyday alignment
Including the 5-Minute Compass Check, reflective body-based noticing, and recognising the difference between alignment and drift.
What You’ll Leave With
You’ll leave with:
A practical orientation tool for identity, alignment, and self-reflection
Language shifts that support self-understanding rather than self-pathologising
A simple reflective practice to reconnect with your values, needs, strengths, boundaries, and meaning
Greater clarity around what helps you feel more grounded, intact, and aligned in your work and life
A more compassionate way to notice when you are navigating from self-trust, and when you may be drifting into over-adaptation
