Neurodivergent Affirming Course: How to Handle Relationships

Welcome

A neuroaffirming course for self-understanding, connection, and authentic relationships. Relationships can be beautiful, confusing, tender, overwhelming, and deeply shaped by how safe we feel to be ourselves. For many autistic folks, connection is not about learning how to perform relationships “properly”. It is about understanding your own identity, communication, sensory needs, boundaries, values, and ways of loving — without needing to abandon yourself to belong. This course was created as a gentle map for autistic people exploring self-discovery, relationships, intimacy, communication, and authentic connection. What’s Inside Autistic identity and self-understanding Sexuality, gender, and authentic expression Special interests, strengths, and shared interests Boundaries and communicating needs The double empathy problem Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria, or RSD Communication styles Masking, unmasking, and people-pleasing Sensory sensitivities and intimacy Relationship red flags and green flags Neurodivergent love languages This course may resonate with autistic adults, late-diagnosed autistic people or AuDHDers exploring relationships and seeking neuroaffirming resources around identity, communication and connection. It is not here to teach you how to become easier to love. It is here to help you recognise the ways you already connect, what safety feels like for you, and how relationships can hold more truth, care, and mutual understanding. Move through it slowly, pause where you need to, and return to the parts that help you feel more like yourself.
